Lapis Lazuli is a very ancient stone, worn for protection.  It can assist with shielding the wearer from negative emotions and outside influences and can help align the body to receive higher vibrations.  It is believed that Michelangelo used Lapis Lazuli in powder form when painting the Sistine Chapel.
